BenficaNicolás Otamendi was born on 12 February 1988 in Buenos Aires and is an Argentine citizen. He had an early career stage with CA Vélez Sarsfield in the 2009/10 season and moved to Clube Atlético Mineiro in 2014. Otamendi represented Argentina, winning the Copa América twice and the CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions.
