Rayo Vallecano recovered from two Racing Santander leads to win 3-2 at Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

Sergio Canales put Racing Santander ahead in the fourth minute, before Andrei Rațiu equalised for Rayo Vallecano in the 17th. Pablo García restored Racing's advantage on 28 minutes. Sergio Camello levelled in the 43rd minute and scored again two minutes after the break to decide the match. Rayo finished with nine players after Fran Pérez was sent off in the 85th minute and Jorge de Frutos in the 89th. Racing had 51% possession, but Rayo recorded 10 shots to four and led expected goals 1.5 to 0.54. Rayo also won nine corners to Racing's six, while Racing's goalkeeper made six saves compared with two at the other end. Alejandro Quintero Gonzalez refereed the La Liga match in Leganes.

Interesting fact: Rayo Vallecano scored twice through Sergio Camello either side of half-time, turning a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead.
